1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Singapore Insight Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202951746M), a company incorporated in Singapore with its registered office at 1 Grange Road, #10-08 Orchard Building, Singapore 239693 ("Singapore Insight", "we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using our website at singaporeinsight.life, subscribing to our services, participating in editorial programs, or otherwise engaging with our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or website notice at least fourteen days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Our Services

Singapore Insight operates an independent editorial platform publishing news, analysis, and features about business, technology, and city life in Singapore. Our services include:

• Free and subscriber-only articles accessible through our website
• Weekly briefing newsletters and email communications
• Editorial programs including sector briefings, innovation roundtables, and field reports
• Institutional licences and custom research briefs
• Archival access to historical content and datasets

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time with reasonable notice where practicable. We are not a marketing agency, vocational training provider, or political organisation. Services are provided for informational and editorial purposes.

3. Accounts and Subscriptions

Registration: Certain features require account creation. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information and maintain the accuracy of your account details. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and all activities under your account.

Subscriptions: Paid subscriptions are subject to the pricing and features described at the time of purchase. Fees are quoted in Singapore dollars and exclude GST unless stated otherwise. Payment is due in advance for the selected billing period.

Renewal and cancellation: Monthly subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Annual subscriptions renew unless cancelled within the notice period specified in your agreement. Cancellation requests should be sent to [email protected]. Institutional licences: Corporate and institutional agreements are governed by separate contracts that supplement these Terms. In case of conflict, the institutional agreement prevails.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on singaporeinsight.life—including articles, photographs, graphics, logos, data visualisations, audio, video, software, and design elements—is owned by Singapore Insight or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws of Singapore and international treaties.

The "Singapore Insight" name, logo, and associated marks are trademarks of Singapore Insight Pte. Ltd. You may not use our trademarks without prior written consent.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in our intellectual property except the limited licence described in Section 5.

5. Permitted Use

Subject to these Terms and your subscription level, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to:

• Access and read articles for personal, non-commercial use
• Share article URLs via social media or email
• Print individual articles for personal reference
• Quote brief excerpts with proper attribution and a link to the original article

Institutional subscribers may share content internally within the licensed organisation up to the seat limit in their agreement. Redistribution outside the licensed organisation, republication of full articles, or commercial exploitation requires a separate licence from us.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display content beyond permitted use
• Use automated tools (scrapers, bots, crawlers) to extract content or data without authorisation
• Circumvent paywalls, access controls, or technical protection measures
• Share account credentials or allow unauthorised access to subscriber content
• Impersonate Singapore Insight staff or misrepresent affiliation with us
• Submit false, misleading, or defamatory information
• Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Interfere with the operation or security of our platform
• Use our services for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable regulations
• Harvest personal data of other users without consent

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate termination of access and legal action.

7. User Submissions

When you submit editorial tips, comments, feedback, or other content ("User Submissions"), you grant Singapore Insight a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, modify, and publish such content in connection with our editorial operations. You represent that you own or have rights to your submissions and that they do not infringe third-party rights.

We may moderate, edit, or remove User Submissions at our discretion. We are not obligated to publish or respond to submissions. Confidential sources and tips are handled according to our editorial ethics policy.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, services, or content. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for third-party sites or their privacy practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

9. Disclaimers

Our content is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, financial, investment, tax, or professional advice. You should consult qualified professionals before making decisions based on our reporting.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) S$100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of certain damages. In such cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Singapore Insight and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your User Submissions, or your use of our services.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to our services at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your licence to use our content ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law—shall survive.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
